Yaoshang Country Club

Yaoshang Country Club is a 36 hole facility with one older course and a brand new course designed by Bob Shearer (Australian PGA). This is the Jimen course and the one TeeTime will be playing. The design is fantastic and this is one of our favorite courses in the Beijing area. We are excited to be able to play this course for the 2006 season.

Watch out for the many bunkers!

The course has a driving range, clubhouse with restaurants, locker room, meeting rooms and pro shop.

"Jinmen Loch Golf Course, located 40 kilometres south of Beijing, is a new course at Beijing Yaoshang Country Club was opened in late 2004. It has been constructed from the fertile sandy flood plains of the Yong Ding River with a championship length of 6800 metres - Par 72. This course is strongly mounded and powerfully bunkered to create a formidable challenge for China's golfers.
The course derives its name from the nearby, ancient stone "Jinmen Loch" system built some 500-600 years ago to control water flows from the Yong Ding River to the bordering farm land.

Local stone masons have accurately re-created 3 of these stone Loch's on the new course, which operate to control water levels on the course lake and stream system."  Reprinted from Shearer Golf Design web page.
