Tee Time Golf China - 2009 Season

First of all, we would like to wish you a happy new year and welcome to 2009, TeeTime China’s fifth season of golf in Beijing, China.  We weren’t very good at updating the blog last year as we mostly kept everyone informed throughout the season via email.

This year again, we are not promising anything for the blog but we will be having weekly golf games and keeping members informed via a weekly email (during the golf season only).  If you would like to be added to the list send us an email at info@teetimechina.com.

The last few weeks have been very mild and we have been hoping that spring in Beijing and the golf season would start early this year.  We have even been to the driving range with some golfers sporting sleeveless shirts, in February!.  I digress, as of this writing however, it is snowing.  We are hoping the cold will quickly fade into warmer weather and green grass!

For 2009, we will be aiming to keep a similar schedule as last year.  As in the past, we will be shooting for weekly games early Saturday mornings.   The courses we will be playing for 2009 have not been decided yet but likely will be similar to past years, you can see some of the golf courses we play in Beijing on our courses page of this website.

For those not familiar with TeeTime China, we are a social golf group in Beijing, China.  We enjoy meeting other golfers in China both for fun and business.  We aim to play good quality golf courses in and around the Beijing area.

Ok, while we are waiting for things to warm up, get your new drivers and putters ordered and we hope to see you soon.

New Course - Renji Golf Course

Good afternoon everyone,

This week we will be trying a new course called Renji Golf Course. Here is something we found on the Internet about it…

“The Renji Mountain lodge, which opened in 2006, is a luxury golf club that overlooks a gorgeous, Australian-designed, 18-hole golf course (with 18 more being planned). The course features water hazards and white-sand sand traps along its well-manicured fairways and around its undulating greens. Smiling women caddies and electric golf carts that travel along smooth, paved tracks are available to ensure an easy-going golf outing. “

It should be less than a 1hr drive from Beijing (we haven’t been there yet either) and the map will be coming very soon and will be available here in the courses section of the TeeTime website.

Sat June 9 - 09:00am start - Renji Golf Club. Please email us if you would like to play and we will reserve a spot for you.

Here are some pictures..

First 2007 TeeTime Golf China game on Feb 21st

The date is set for the first game of 2007 for TeeTime golf China. We will be playing Beijing Longxi Golf Club (or Beijing Hot Springs Golf Club in English). We haven’t played it yet but it is supposed to be designed by an Australian. We can’t find any formal writeups on the course itself but here is something on the facility.

“Longxi Hot Spring Golf Club
This exceptional resort is set in a beautiful region of natural underground
hot springs. Two dozen of these have been incorporated into a glass
encased 8,000 metre indoor hot spring area attached to a fully equipped
fitness centre and luxurious massage and treatment rooms, where you can
unwind after a round of golf with a dip or a massage.”

Anyway, tee times will start at 9am and it is first come first serve to reserve your spot.

To book please email us at info@teetimechina.com. The sooner the better, so we can manage the times.

Map and instructions will be forthcoming.

We look forward to an exciting year of golf with you in Beijing!!

TeeTime Golf China 2007 Season

We hope you stayed warm over the winter or had a chance to get away from Beijing and play some golf. The winter is always too long for us golfers!

With the arrival of Spring, it is warming up here in Beijing, trees starting to bloom and grass starting to take life again. We are getting ready and currently planning for TeeTime China’s third golf season in Beijing. Again this year, we will be organizing weekly social rounds of golf on the weekend in and around the Beijing area. The aim for the year (as in the other years) is to have fun golfing, meet other golfers in Beijing and play decent courses.

There is no membership fee again this year, just reserve with us by email early to book your spot. The schedule will always be up on the website at http://www.teetimechina.com and is usually posted 2 -3 weeks in advance.

We are currently planning to have the first game on April 21 or 22 (we will let you know the exact date soon). If you are interested to play let us know so we can arrange tee times for everyone.

New blog. We will be posting updates to the email list and to the web blog this year. The blog is here http://www.teetimechina.com/blog/ and the RSS feed to the blog is here http://www.teetimechina.com/blog/feed/
